”Jeg var positivt overrasket over hvor mange forskellige ting, der faktisk var at lave.” (Lisa)
”Det var fedt at deltage i både kedelige og spændende opgaver, så jeg kan stærkt anbefale prakti
k i 6. klasse”(Helena)
(Alba)
(Matilde)
”Det var rigtig sjovt at have sin praktik i en børnehave.” (Sofie)

MY WORK EXPERINCE IN
I have chosen to spend my work-experince-week in Inter Sport®, which is found in the new shopping center “Friis”, because i like sport and sport gadgets/outfit. Here is my diary from the week:
Sunday, April 11th : I am looking forward for tomorrow. I do not know what is going to happen, so I am pretty curious.
Monday, April 12th: Ten o´clock I entered InterSport®, and met the leader of the shop (Morten). He gave me my first task, which was to fill around 200 Real Madrid-balls with air. They had an electric ball pump, so it only took me about an hour and a half. When I was done, my next task was to put labels on around 80 pairs of shorts. There was six different sizes of shorts and a label matching each size.
If a pair of shorts had this size... ...then I was supposed to put on a label reading:
6 years 116 cm
8 years 128 cm
10 years 140 cm
12 years 152 cm
14 years 164 cm
16 years 176 cm
When I was done with the labels, I got “permission” to eat my lunch. Then I was told to go down to Sport Master® in Slotsgade. In Sport Master® I helped sorting a lot of different shoes after size and model, until four o´clock, when I got free from work. What I did think about today: Some of the tasks were funny, and some of them we-re boring. The staff was kind to me.
What I did learn today: The different sizes on clothes.
Tuesday, April 13th: I entered InterSport same time as yesterday. Today I was only given one big task, and it was to sort a lot of different boxes of shoes, and put a label on each. It took me until half past tree. When I was done I got free from work.
What I did think about today: Pretty boring.
What I did learn today: There is a shoe model called “Ronaldinho”.
Wednesday, April 14th: I showed up ten o´clock as usual. My task today was to put labels on a lot of different clothes like knickers and sweatshirts. Nothing special happened until four o´clock, when I got free from work.
What I did think about today: Like yesterday the day was pretty boring.
What I did learn today: Nothing.
Thursday, April 15th: I showed up ten o´clock as usual. The shop had received a big load of Adidas® shirts, and my task was to pack them out, put labels on them, and put them on hangers. When I was done, I was told to fill some iron boxes in the shop with black and white socks. After I had had my lunch, I was told to put labels on so-me shoe boxes. I got free from work half past three.
What I did think about today: Today had more variation than yesterday, but it was still a bit boring.
What I did learn today: There is a shoe model called Lunarglide.
Friday, April 16th: I showed up ten o´clock as usual. My first task today was to sort a lot of Adidas shoes and some in-line skates. I ate lunch early, and after I had had my lunch, Morten said, that I could take anything I wanted in the shop with a maximum value of 500 kr. I got a blue pair of shorts (130 kr.), a blue sweatshirt (100 kr.) and a black shirt (250 kr.). After that I helped dressing a mannequin-man in AaB clothes. Then i got free from work.
What I did think about today: It was (no doubt) the best day of week, beacuse...
...I tried dressing a mannequin-man, and that was very funny.
...I got free stuff.
...I got early free from work.
What I did learn today: A mannequin-man is pretty heavy.

Today was it my first day on Aab. When I came to Aab we were going to start in the basement, where all the football players clothes are. There were 15 boxes with clothes and I and the woman in the café called Lotte should lie all the clothes in the cupboards. It took all the day, almost.
It has been a good day except that I should lie all the clothes.

Diary:
My work experience place was GateHouse. GateHouse is a software company, where my dad works.
Monday:
Today was my first day at work. I started by saying hello to everybody. I knew a few of them because my dad is working there. My contact person is named Camilla, she showed me around, and introduced me to Mette and Kresten. They are working with marketing, and those two were the persons that I was going to spend the week with. Mette and Kresten told me a bit about what marketing is, and they told me what my job was going to be. The first thing I should do was to write down a little bit about myself, and then Mette would put it on the company’s intranet. Now I was ready for my next job. Mette gave me some business cards from one of the employees, named Pia. I should write down the information from the cards in a document, so she could have a better overview of them. Then I should find some articles on Borsen.dk about Carlsberg, because one of the employees, named Gerd needed them for his visit on the Carlsberg Factory. I should find 10 good articles, that were a bit difficult, but I did it! Now it was lunch time. There was this amazing buffet and soda machine every day. After I have had lunch, I should look at the new website, GateHouse has got. I should find all the mistakes there was on links and other stuff. That took a long time, but finally I was done. It has been a very good first day at work.
Tuesday:
When I got there at 9 a.m., I started by having an interview with Gerd. Gerd is one of the employees, he is working in the sales department, and I should ask him about his role in the company. He told me that sale is a very important part of a company, because if some people just made, and made and made stuff, but nobody sold it, then it would be a waste of time, money and materials. He also told me about how to sell stuff, and when a salesman is good and when a salesman is insistent and annoying. That was interesting to hear a little bit about what he was doing in the company. Every morning in the rest of the week, I am going to interview an employee from the company. Afterwards I started making a presentation about the company, which I am going to continue on tomorrow. When I was done doing that, it was lunch time. There was of course an amazing buffet again, and today there was also this incredible chocolate cake. When I was done filling my stomach up with incredible food, I had to get back to work. I should find some new articles about some other companies, but it did not succeeded very well. Then I worked with some of Pias business cards again. That was a fast job, so after that I only needed to do a little paper sorting job.
Wednesday:
I started my day, having an interview with Jens. He works with the business future of the company. He told me that he helps the company finding ideas to new products, they can develop. He also helps finding future costumers. Afterwards I got a job from Birgit, the receptionist. I should print out some papers and put them in a folder for her. After I had done that, Mette asked me to find some information about other companies on their websites. That was pretty time consuming. After that Mette showed me, what she was working with. She was looking on conferences that GateHouse maybe should participate in. She had a schedule, she wrote it into. Suddenly it was lunch time. After we finished lunch, I worked on my presentation.
Thursday:
My day was pretty simple today. I started by interviewing Anette, who works with economy. She was really nice, and she told me that she made accounts and systems, so that the company could control their economy better. We also talked about dogs and rabbits. She wanted to show me a picture of her own dog, but unfortunately she could not find it on her computer. After I interviewed her, I should find some information about some companies on their websites, like yesterday. Right before lunch, Gerd came and asked me if I wanted to attend a conservation on the phone, where he was being a salesman. He talked to a man, named Thomas, and Gerd was really nice and not tricky and insistent like salesmen often are. Then we got some lunch, again great food. Afterwards I continued finding information about companies, and now here at the end of the day, I am finishing my diary for today.
Friday:
Because it was Friday we started by eating breakfast together, that was really nice. After that, I had an interview with Per. Per works with developing, so when Jens gets an idea, then Per and Jens talks about it. And then if they decide that it is a good idea, Per and his colleagues make the product. I also saw some of the things GateHouse had made. Among other, there was something called GhTrack. It is a good help for people who owns a truck company or a port. With help from GhTrack, they always know where their trucks and boats are. After interviewing him, I should fold some leaflets to the company’s costumers. My next job was to sort bills alphabetically for Birgit. After a relatively boring job, Lars helped me lifting the mood. He wrote a joke on the intranet by writing in “today’s menu” that we were going to have “red sausages” for lunch. Some people were kind of disappointed, that it was not sausages for lunch, but some of the girls were happy, including me. I was going to present my presentation for Mette and Kresten this afternoon. After eating lunch I took a quick look through my presentation, I got through it once, and then Lotte came. She visited me to see how things were doing, and asked me if I liked working here, or I rather wanted to get back at school again. After her visit, I showed my presentation to Mette and Kresten. They thought it was good, and then they gave me a gift. It was a hairband, it was so pretty. I really liked it. So now I am sitting here finishing my diary.
It has been such an absolutely fantastic week, I have seen and learned so many things about how a company works and about how it feels to be an employee in a software company. I have meet so many nice people, and been in such a nice building, with such great environment. I have learned to sort bills alphabetically, and learned how every group of the company is important for the finally result, and at last but not least I have learned to know a lot of nice people.
The week was too short, I could have been in GateHouse in 6 weeks more – at least J
Hi. In this week I was in work experience in kinder garden “Bittebæk.” It was very fun. I’m writing my essay like a diary.
Hello. (Monday)
Today was my first day in kinder garden. It was really nice. There was a lot to do. We should help the kids with all the tiny things such as putting their shoes and clothes on. We also ate together. After we had eaten some fruit, we went outside and were there for about an hour. When we came back inside, lunch was ready, but before we ate the kids had to wash their hands. The children made lots of noise so we divided them into two groups. Then I was allowed to go home. The kids in the kinder garden are between one and six years old.
Hello. (Tuesday)
Today there was nothing new, other than that we made a camp fire outside. When the camp fire was burning we put some cardboard boxes on the fire. I told Lilo (One of the adults) that we did not have a bucket of water for the fire. She said we didn’t need it.We had pizza for lunch, and I began to knit a cat.
Hello. (Wednesday)
Today I continued to knit my cat. I helped the children get clothes on and so on. But I was fine with that. And we had spaghetti for lunch. After lunch Lilo started to clean around the kinder garden. All the kids wanted to help.
Hello. (Thursday)
Today I started working at 8:30. I continued knitting my cat so now it’s only missing the tail and the eyes. We had rye bread for lunch. The cat is going to be almost 10 cm.
Lotte came visiting today so I told her about how things are going and what I was doing
Hello. (Friday)
It was the last day. Estrid had birthday. They celebrated it a lot, and gave her a small party. And she got a knitted crown in a birthday present from the kinder garden. We had spaghetti for lunch. They said goodbye to me today. And I got a goodbye gift.
My cat was now finished and I could take it home.
- It was very fun to be in work experience in a kinder garden.
- Sometimes some of the kids were crying and missing their parants.
- It felt good to help the children.
- I think I would like to work in a kinder garden when I grow up.
